cocoa pod slub cardigan, midnight blue/ $45
These slub-knit cotton cardigans are new for Fall 2011, and we think they're just about the coziest items we've ever carried in our shop! "Slub" basically means the knitting is irregular, so it bunches and gives in a vintage-y sort of way.
There is plenty of fabric here to wrap yourself up in. The front panels are super wide, providing a fashionable drape you can wear loose over jeans or under a belt for a night out. In fact, the lapels are so wide you can actually pull them up over your head like a hood if you get caught in a rainstorm! (We think it looks a bit silly so we left out those photos, but it would be handy in a pinch!)
The image is our illustration of a cocoa pod in chartreuse, magenta, and smoky Texas orange. The cardigan color is a very dark midnight blue. Absolutely machine washable and dry-able with no shrinkage or fading.
For the record, we were inspired by our friends at Escazú for this one!
